Nature Journaling at the La Selva Library

Join Melinda for this guided, experiential workshop designed to support curiosity, creativity, and connection with nature. We’ll begin indoors with easy warm-up activities and an introduction to nature journaling, then move outdoors for optional, self-paced journaling time. The workshop concludes indoors with gentle reflection and sharing.

Nature journaling combines simple sketching, writing, and observation, and is accessible to all—no prior drawing experience is needed. Participants often leave feeling relaxed, inspired, and more attuned to the natural world. If it rains, we’ll remain indoors with nature elements to explore.

COST: This event is offered FREE to the public, and sponsored by the La Selva Library and Santa Cruz Public Libraries.

What to Bring: If you have one bring you sketchbook and pen. We will sketch note booklets and colored pencils for sharing.
